After many years learning and practicing the piano, Matthieu Gain studys filmscoring at the Berklee College of Music, in Boston. For three full years, he advances piano playing and learns harmony, arranging, orhestration, composition and picture synchronisation.
After having he’s dimploma of Film Scoring in 1996, he comes back to France and starts his experience with many short movies. In 2004, “Le Rêve d’une Jeune Fille” receives the price of for the best sound track (made only of music) at the URCVIF competition and “Imminence” the Prix Spécial du Jury at the Festival National du Court Métrage Étudiant.
Today, after more than 10 years of experience, Matthieu Gain composes, arranges, orchestrates an produces musics for TV (TV movies, series, documentaries, commerials…) as well as fo cinema (features, short movies, documentaries…) and theatre pieces (contemporary creations), french or international.
